Lost access to my server after data breach

I got the email about the data breach while I was at work. Before I could get home to change my password, my server lost connection. What is going on? Did Plex blow away everyone’s server access regardless of the password change?

I can’t find a way on the Shield to reclaim my server either. I see forum posts for other servers but not the Shield. Anyone else able to figure it out. I tried signing out, on the Shield Plex web app, and then re-linking it. But that only reset the Plex web app on the Shield not the Plex server.

I’m having the same issue – I have a Windows server that I was able to get working – but no obvious way to do the same with the Shield.

I see this set of instructions on Reddit – pretty complicated. Plex should be able to give us a better way

I looked at the reddit article but I am unclear how I can navigate to a folder or run a script on the Shield. Can anyone provide clarity?

I was not able to get the article suggestion to work correctly – I ended up rebuilding my Plex server on the Shield Pro by deleting the Plex Media Server and app and starting over. My media is on a separate external drive attached to the Shield since this has happened to me with my Plex server several times before.

Hopefully someone from Plex actually reads this…
