Just posting my experience using the HDHomeRun Connect with my my Mac Mini and Plex server. I have been using WinTV DualHD usb tuner by Hauppauge on a PC laptop. It worked well with the Plex server and was connected to my outdoor antennas. I have two antennas that face different directions in order to pick up live tv. When I connected the HDHomeRun Connect to my Mac Mini running the Plex server, I immediately noticed issues with watching Live TV from other devices. I kept getting a message of low signal strength or long hang times. I didn’t have these issues when using the PC laptop running the Plex server and WinTV dualHD tuner. I was hoping I could get by using the HDHomeRun Connect on my Mac because there are not many dual tuners available for the OS X Macs. I hope this helps anyone considering Live TV on a Mac.
