Currently channels are second class citizens... only sections have privileges :(
My Wish:
Channels should have:
Ability to create Subtitle streams.
Ability to Scrobble/Unscrobble Items via ratingKey. (Callback to the plugin).
Ability to Select audio/subtitle Streams via ratingKey. (Callback to the plugin).
Ability to store videoOffset via ratingKey, when user stops, and resume later (Callback to the plugin)
Ability to add a channel as a section, so the content of the plugin can be used in plex sharing.
Ability to dynamically/programmatically populate preferences.
