Manage "Managed User"/"Shared User" Devices

Hi There

Think it would be great that if you Select a User in your home thats a “Managed User” or “Shared User” and be able to see:

  • Devices Connected Tab
  • Set a Number of Devices Limit (Input box or Dropdown. An empty box/Zero means unlimited)
  • Option to Approve New Devices attempting to connect to your PMS (Checkbox)
  • Option to Remove/Rename Currently Connected Devices (Prompting a Login again/Invite if removed)
  • Option to disable the account (Keeps history and everything but forces the user to log out/have account re-enabled)

Just feel that since if you share an account with someone they can just log anyone in with their account and you will see new devices keep popping up/streaming from your PMS. I feel if these controls are added then this prevents unauthorized access and allows better control of who is using your server

I came here looking to suggest that we should have the ability to approve or disapprove new devices or shared users. Currently, our only option is to remove the shared user from having access to our libraries.

Your feature suggestion solves this issue perfectly.

We get a notification when a new device connects to our plex sever. So we should be able to approve or deny that device at that time.

I’m surprised that a company like Plex doesn’t have that options when small independent program like Jellyfin has it.
