Hello,
my movie folder is a huge mess at the moment, how do you manage it properly?
i want something like subfolders for movies with more episodes, like Star Wars is spread over the whole movie folder. I read somewhere subfolders are not possible in movie folder, is there any solution for that, any ideas?
*all my movies are .mkv
You can definitely use subfolders. I organize very simply. I have a movie folder that has subfolders “A”, “B”, “C”… etc. Just that simple. I use the same Directory structure across 5 different drives. For me, the physical location of a specific movie is unimportant on the drives since plex takes care of organizing my movies by Genre, Year…etc.
I forgot to chime in on Collections. I make heavy use of Collections. My personal rule is that if 3 movies go together, I make it a collection! You mentioned Star Wars, which is a good example of a movie series that begs to be a collection.
@grandpacarp
I have a organized folder on my NAS with subfolders too.
But how do i create subfolders in plex?
I tried collections now, i really dont like that on my TV, i always have to select that at a tiny window with 50 other selective options.
You don’t do it in Plex. You do it through windows explorer or whatever your operating system supports/needs.
