I have a plex pass and have created a managed users. how can they access my friends servers(shared servers), or is that something that just the master user can use.
Correct. Sharing is to a particular user. Since managed users are not true users, you cannot share to them. If you want your managed users to be able to view a friend’s server, you need to make them into regular users and not managed, then ask your friend to share to those accounts as well.
Thank you for your quick concise response. it really is too bad that my managed users can’t see my friends shared server (all of the users(kids,wife,etc) on my server) It would be a really awesome feature to allow friend shares to give access to every managed user on the friend shared server. It could even be a conditional setting when sharing a server with a friend. But again thanks for your time.
As a user this would be a good feature. However as the person doing the sharing, I would not want people I share with to be able to share my server to their managed users. This had been discussed before and you can probably find many arguments for and against this.
