Is there an eta on when we might get manual photo tagging rather than just auto tagging which doesn’t tag the way I’d prefer?
If there is nothing like that in the works, can someone point me to the documentation for the SQL schema or give me some basic sql commands for adding a new tag, finding an image (whatever id is easiest to use and where I can look it up would be great) as well as what fields are needed. I’m fairly certain I need to be editingsd the tags and taggings tables, but I dont want to mess anything up.
Yeah…I’m also still waiting on the possibilty to use tags already stored in my photos to search for them on plex-server.
All of my photos are tagged with informations to persons, animals, nature, location, …searching should be possible by using and COMBINING the tags. example search-term : “Autria; Snow; Tree” and therefore all Photos with these tags should be shown…Please developers give the feature to us…THX
I would love this feature to come along. Especially if you can dynamically make Albums based on tags. The auto-tagging feature is nice, but doesn’t really allow you to distinguish between different objects by name, e.g. a persons name, pets name - type of object yes.
Just wondering about this myself. Spent a ton of time to put tags on each photo using windows properties, but there doesn’t seem to be the option to use local data, like in the other library types. Am I just missing something? The auto tagging feature places tags that are just odd.
Totally agree with previous posts. The auto tagging feature is clever but, for me, quite useless. Manual tagging seems to offer what I want but you can’t construct a filter query on the manual tags. Nor does the querying feature seem to work on auto tags even if they were useful. Come on Plex, this is basic functionality that is missing!
Wow! Yes! I was searching for this ‘just in case’ manual tagging wasn’t possible.
This would be a blocker for me.
Please dev … I like full control over my photo library, and am not going to let Plex ignore or worse, overwrite the tags on my existing photos!
