Option to manually add a destination/location to a movie/show, in case Plex doesn’t show the (correct) location or streaming service. For instance: cable TV recording or this particular local streaming service or (why not?) my friends dvd collection. It would make Plex THE go to tool for organizing and finding whatever you want to watch.
I‘m not sure if I understand what you’re asking for. Is this about manually adding/correcting entries in the „where to watch“ hubs, simply tagging a „location“ for items in your library (e.g. for physical assets) or something entirely different?
Thanks for answering. It’s the first. A lot of streaming services in my neighborhood are not included in Plex. Would be nice if we could add them manually, just for personal use. Same for cable recordings of shows and movies. (I’m Dutch speaking, sorry for unclear wordings.)
Are you missing entire providers of just individual shows/movies?
Plex is using data from an external source, so they depend on that source being accurate.
As for your own recordings… if your library is using the current-generation Plex agents, those should actually already show in the Where to Watch hub.
There’s an existing suggestion to display if a show or movie are listed on the live tv guide(e.g. as a to-be recorded option).
That’s the thing. If you rely on an external source, there will always be gaps. Just looking for a way to close them. Best way would be to be able to add personal locations/entries in the where to watch hub.
Some examples. Take the tv-show Klem. According to Plex “There are no locations currently available for this title”. While it is a highlight of the Dutch streaming service NPO.
Or: the tv-show Landscapers is not available, according to Plex, whereas it is on VRT Max. VRT Max is one of the services that is integrated in Plex, but apparently that integration contains mistakes. And so on. Equally missing: Streamz (Belgium), VTM Go, GoPlay etc…
I’m not asking to add these services and the content they offer, because everybody will have different services to add - and I understand you cannot satisfy everybody.
But if I could add NPO to the series Klem myself, and refer to VRT Max for the series Landscapers, and thus complete my watchlist - that would be satisfying enough. I don’t mind doing the job for the missing entries myself.
