Mark to Delete

I’m a hoarder of media, but sometimes there’s just one movie that’s so bad I don’t even want it on my hard drive anymore.

I would like to suggest an option from the device/client (TV, Shield, etc.) to ‘Mark to Delete’, or ‘Suggest removal’ when on the Admin user. This will then add a notification on the desktop/server to either delete/remove the file from Plex.

Simply use a playlist.

When I need to work on something I remind myself by adding to continue watching or on deck, but I, personally do not use any, but the Admin user. My solution may absolutely not work for you.

will give this a vote if its note Dead this what i am thinking too but in reverse let my users in my home mark a movie for would watch later or delete so that i as the admin know what do delete so that i don’t delete something someone liked and have to download it later.

Are we considering this as giving feedback / reporting issues to the server owner?
If so… there’s actually already a feature suggestion which covers exactly that…

Is the field searchable/filterable? It could be a checkbox maybe editable checkbox would be ok for several things. I have hit my disk size limit for my data i have over 500 movies other than the cartoons which i am sure can be rewatched(about 200) the rest can be deleted i would hate to delete a can watch later movie and have to download again. Feedback is slightly different.

Here from a similar request of my own. I will put mine to close and move vote here but wanted to add 2 suggestions.

  • I feel like this should be within two clicks from the individual episode/movie or media’s direct page for easy click and should definitely not delete immediately.
  • Deletion would be handled during an idle and/or scheduled maintenance with a page available that lists media scheduled for deletion. A management/configuration page for this function would be nice.

As a DVR user this would be a great QOL feature.
