Would be real handy to be able to fix match of an album by using a discogs ID or a direct link for times when plex just cant find the album or finds the wrong version of an album. I’d love to be able to do the same with thetvdb and themoviedb for particularly stubborn shows and movies.
Would also like to see some sort or .cue integration for whole album single file .flac .ape .alac where you could point plex to the albums .cue or the discogs ID to get the track listings and then jump to time as you would with a movies chapters.
Using the ID is already possible for tv shows and movies.
Perform the Fix Match procedure. ‘Search Options’ then put in the IMDb ID or the TheTVDB ID into the ‘title’ input field.
The better option would be of course to name your files and folders accurately, so this procedure won’t be necessary.
(You can also add the IMDb ID to the file name of your movies, like so Avatar (2009) - 1080p (tt0499549).mkv)
For music there is not such a universally usable ID number. There are also far too many different releases of albums out there.
So neither Gracenote nor last.fm will have all of them listed.
My advice is to tell Plex to prefer your embedded music meta tags instead: Best way to add album, singles & ep to a Premium Music Library
Support for .cue files has already been requested: CUE support for FLAC files
