I really think we need a feature that allows us to merge our tv and movie collections timelines to appear together. As per star wars for example: It would have all the movies and tv shows on the same timeline so you could potentially watch the movies and shows in a perfect chronological order. Instead of now how it sorts them together, but on separate lines so the cohesion isn’t really there besides putting them in the same folder. Whereas if I start a collection it will start with the first movie and potentially play until all the movies in the collection have been played in order. But it doesn’t really do that for the tv show and movies together.
Have you considered using a regular playlist for that purpose?
I second this request. playlists are for individuals, but as the administrator of a Plex i want to be able to create collections for all users to enjoy. For example, a Christmas themed collection that contains the obvious movies, but also individual episodes within a series that are also Christmas theme. Another example would be the Treehouse of Horror episodes from the Simpsons being a great addition to a Halloween collection. Or having all Batman movies AND tv shows in one place.
