Collections Library and Improvements

I would like to see ‘Collections’ move from being a sub-category under ‘Movies’ and ‘TV Shows’ to a Library item in the toolbar with ‘Movies’ and ‘TV Shows’.

I would also like an option to have Movies and TV Shows/Seasons in collections not separated. A good example of what I mean is “Star Trek”; there are numerous Movies and TV Shows in the franchise, and they jump around the timeline. Below is a chronological order of the “Star Trek” prime universe. The order has you going back and forth between Movies and TV Shows (Discovery seasons are split due to the plot) to watch chronologically. I would like ‘Collections’ to be able to reflect this.

1. Star Trek: Enterprise
2. Star Trek: Discovery seasons 1-2
3. Star Trek: Strange New Worlds
4. Star Trek: The Original Series
5. Star Trek: The Animated Series
6. The first six Star Trek films
7. Star Trek: The Next Generation
8. Star Trek films 7-10: Generations up to Nemesis
9. Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
10. Star Trek: Voyager
11. Star Trek: Lower Decks
12. Star Trek: Prodigy
13. Star Trek: Picard seasons 1-3
14. Star Trek: Discovery seasons 3-5

There’s already existing feature suggestions covering these topics. Please comment/vote in those threads to help us avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes.

Add Collections view to Home screen

Now that we have collections, it would be quite nice if there was an option to view them as a group directly from the home screen. This exists for Playlists, which are essentially another type of Collection, so why not add it for Collections? If some users don’t like this, maybe it could be optional (as most of the other plex-generated items (e.g. news, playlists, channels, etc.) are and/or should be).

Mix movie and shows in same collection

Now with universes like Marvel and Star Wars, ro even DC. We should be able to put our collections in order with movies and shows right next to each other You can kind of do that now but shows are still at the bottom Of the list instead of being able to be mixed in chronological order

Unless I’m missing some unique aspect of your suggestion, I’ll close this thread as a duplicate.
