Migrating Plex library data from 2017 Shield to the new 2019 Shield

I’m trying to wrap my head around how to get the Plex library data from an older 2017 Shield Pro to a new 2019 Shield Pro.

I’ve got a external Samsung SSD that I planned to use to move the Plex data to but not sure how the new Shield will handle this data.

Not sure I want to format the SSD in the Shield software to be used as “internal storage” as it could be encrypted to that device, making it unusable on a new shield.

I’m also unclear if I move the Plex data to the new SSD, will Plex on the new Shield be able to read the library data from the old Shield/Plex?

Any help is appreciated!
