Migrating server from Windows to Mac

I am trying to migrate my Plex server from a Windows 10 computer to a new I mac running Catalina. A post in the forum said that this is possible but it is not supported. (Apparently Windows to Window and Mac to Mac is.) I tried to uninstall on the Windows server and then reinstall on the Mac. The Mac is now functioning as a server with the media copied over to the Mac and recognized. But the old server is trying to connect and can’t. What can I do?

I tried to uninstall on the Windows server.

How did you uninstall it? if you deleted the PMS folder in app data it is gone from your computer.

You uninstalled it but you didn’t remove the record of it from your account so it is still looking for it since your Plex account does not know you uninstalled it. If you want it gone from there go to your accounts devices page filter on servers and remove the server by clicking the red X on it’s block . https://app.plex.tv/desktop#!/settings/devices/pms
