I’m moving my Plex Server to a new server. Movies are copied over and being converted to a format to allow for Direct Play.
When I migrate my Plex database (still have to search for how to on this), will users “watched” carryover? If yes, does it matter that if the movie file size is now smaller, or does this feature use only the name of that movie?
Make it easy, download redo backup and rufus. Make a image of your existing server and put it on the new one. Total time to complete for me (less than 30 minutes). Library is on an external HD so it is just the windows box and all programs/current settings that you are moving.
