Minor annoyance, but, still an annoyance

Hello all

Just something I have noticed, for a while now.

When entering a TV Library you see the Thumnails for the various Series:

Under the Thumbnail it says, for example, under ‘Arrow’ it shows ‘8 series’, this should say ‘8 Seasons’.

‘Arrow’ is the ‘Series’ which has ‘8 Seasons’.

As I said, a minor annoyance, but, still an annoyance.

What language did you select for the app? Is that English (UK)?

This is likely because you have your language set to “English (UK)”.

Setting this to US English (just listed as “English”) will solve this.

Thanks for the Replies.

You are Correct, I had the Language Setting set to ‘English (UK), changing it to ‘English’ in Plex Server and PlexHTPC has fixed it.

One Question though…..

Why are ‘Seasons’ referred to as ‘Series’ when the Language is set to ‘English (UK)’ ?

Being in the UK I can definately say that we always refer to a Series which has x Number of Seasons.

And lastly, will changing the Language to ‘English’ show any other differences that I should be aware of?

Being in the UK I can definitely say we don’t always do that. We have series 1, 2, 3 and so on. Seasons are (primarily) an Americanism.
