I’ve been having an issue with my new 5.0 soundbar (Samsung S60D), where I am not getting the dialogue come through on remote playback. I am not able to test local playback with this set-up. Other apps work fine, but Plex is not delivering the center channel audio. Plex seems to be detecting the receiver as 5.1.
I have a TCL smart TV that is connected to the soundbar via eARC. All audio settings on the TV are set to off, and Digital Audio Out is set to Passthrough. In the Plex app, I have Audio Passthrough set to HDMI. I am able to work around this if I set the TV Digital Audio Out to PCM but then I am only receiving 2.1 audio.
