Plex for Playstation 5.1 AAC audio issues

I installed the Playstation clients on my PS3 and PS4. Everything works great but files with 5.1 AAC audio! The center channel audio is coming out of the right speaker. I have other files with AC3 audio that play with no issues. Please help!

I have the same issue with on my PS3. Center channel audio coming from right front speaker. Though these are files with DTS-MA audio that's transcoded to DTS.

+1 for this issue, it's very annoying!

Plex on playstation 3, centre channel coming out of the right speaker only, when connected via a hdmi cable to the TV.

Can't find any options to fix.

I have the same issue. Plex Server (win2012R2), PS3, Onkyo TX-SR705. Center channel comes from right speaker. :mellow:

I fixed my issue. In the PS3 Plex App, top right corner, click on user name icon, and you will see "Settings". Under Audio - Receiver capabilities, Enable AC3.

I also have this problem - shanmugara’s hint didn’t work for me. I still have the above stated problem with AAC 5.1 sound in movies over my PS3 and PS4…

Same problem, I had this problem in an earlier version and back then it was fixed by checking the AC3 box (like shanmugara says) but now this doesn’t change anything…

Same here. This has only started for me in the last few weeks so I’m not sure if this is due to an update to Plex maybe.

Enable AC3 was already set in the PS3 app but off or on doesn’t seem to make a difference.

I am having this problem also… Works fine playing the file on PS3 without Plex, only when playing through the Plex app does the centre sound come through the right speaker.

Been over a year and a half, disappointed to see that it’s still not fixed.

Maybe if this was in the Playstation part of the forums you’d get more attention.
