I just imported 7 seasons of a TV show onto my NAS and all seasons except for season 4 are showing - I cant seem to find a clear answer online on how to make this display - all file names are the same so S01Ep1 and so on for all seasons.
I have each season in seperate folders so Game of Thrones > Season 1 > Game of Thrones S01EP1.mkv - which to me looks like what its asking for… or im having a magic moment.
That has worked for seasons 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7 - just strange that not for 4 - the rest just instantly showed up on plex
TV Shows ← the folder that contains all your tv shows for Plex .. / Paw Patrol ← the show’s name .. .. / Season 02 ← 2-digit season number .. .. .. / Paw Patrol - s02e01.ext ← where ext is the file extension (e.g. mkv) .. .. .. / Paw Patrol - s02e02.ext .. .. .. / ...
Depending on what OS you use there’s apps to help you with the renaming – if you want to avoid doing it manually. In macOS you can do that right in the Finder via mass-renaming your files; for Windows there’s e.g. an app called FileBot (however I believe that’s no longer free).
not a heavy Windows user; from my experience you cannot do this natively with just the OS.
The 3rd party option mentioned above can be found here but it’s no longer free: https://www.filebot.net/
