MKV movie with AAC audio

I have some MKV movies with AAC audio stereo/mono. Does your amplifier or Plex TV app play MKV with AAC?

Before I setup my Plex server, I am thinking about converting AAC to AC3, but perhaps it is not necessary?

AAC stereo is no problem.
Mono and/or multichannel is not compatible with many AVR and soundbars, so that may not work in some cases.

Thanks. Do you know how to check, which files have AAC audio track in batch?

Most efficient would be to use Home · WebTools-NG/WebTools-NG Wiki · GitHub to export your library to a CSV file and open it with a spreadsheet app, like LibreOffice Calc or MS Excel.
Then filter on the columns “Audio Codec” and “Audio Channels”.
