Xbox One crew has announced their next update will get mkv support. Can we expect the same for the PS4 version any time soon?


I realize this is up to Sony but Im guessing you devs are discussing such things with them.

Asking again. With the addition of the Media Player to the PS4 we might have better luck.

I may be simplify this but the codec support of the MP is ok, wouldn't it be a case of asking for access to that codec support in the app, then doing the work in your end to add it into the app?

Hi AstroZombie1, no we don't have direct access to codec and lower level video playback components.
