Whenever I try to use Plex in my mobile browser (DDG) it force redirects to the desktop site. I even tried making a bookmark with the desktop part of the URL removed, but it keeps forcing it to the desktop version, making it totally unusable. I don’t want the app, I just want to use Plex in my mobile browser. How can I get it to use the mobile site?
Plex Web does not seem to have mobile adaptation. Plex Web is only adapted for desktop versions and does not have a version specifically resized for mobile dimensions. So, when you open Plex Web using a mobile browser, it looks the same as the desktop version because there is no Plex website designed specifically for mobile devices.
I think I know what the OP means. Plex previously could be installed as a PWA on chromium based browsers. As of late depending on the version for the web app it’s a hit or miss. Lately you cannot get it to add as a PWA on mobile.
How does anyone not have a mobile version of their site in this age? I don’t want another app on my phone. They really need to fix this and make the site resize on mobile browsers.
