More collection ordering methods

I would love to see in non-smart collections the same ordering methods that exist in playlists. All with ascending/descending option:

  • Title
  • Year
  • Release Date
  • Critic Rating
  • Audience Rating
  • Rating
  • Content Rating
  • Duration
  • Progress
  • Plays
  • Date Added
  • Date Viewed
  • Resolution
  • Bitrate
  • Randomly

The “Randomly” ordering method would be great in the movies metadata screen, specially with big collections in clients with no scrolling like ATV. In this case, every time you access a movie the Collection section would suggest diferent movies

I have made many large custom collections for things like “Academy Award Nominees in X category” or “Criterion Collection” using “Collections” tags. To sort these categories randomly on my “home page” I have to then duplicate the playlist as a “smart playlist” and sort it randomly. This results in redundant collections and confusion.

I would love it if Plex would just let me sort the original “Collection” randomly without having to duplicate it as a smart playlist.

Even better would be native URL support to add dynamic collections from sites like https://trakt.tv
