Below features requested would be about allowing easier manual tagging and multi-selecting for mass editing of TAGS, COLLECTIONS and LABELS of all media.
This applies to the PLEX SERVER web interface on windows
Note that below requests are to support users with LARGE media collections spread across many different (sub)folders.
Below examples are simplified to just show a few files and how the suggestions would interact with them.
SORTING MEDIA SUGGESTION 1:
In ALL->MOVIES view in a library with “Other Videos” when sorting by LIST view:
Add a column (Like Title, Year, Duration…) which shows the full filepath of media files. This allows sorting on FILEPATH.
D:\AAA\Movie1
D:\AAA\Movie2
D:\AAA\Movie3
D:\BBB\Movie1
E:\AAA\Movie1
E:\BBB\Movie1
(This would make it possible to multi-select files across different folders for mass editing of tags/collections)
SORTING MEDIA SUGGESTION 2:
In ALL->FOLDERS view in a library with “Other Videos”:
Currently files can only be (multi) selected and edited when directly in that file’s containing folder
Please allow FOLDERS to be selected and have have the option to EDIT.
Editing would change/add tags/collections to all plex supported media files IN the selected and underlying folders.
For example:
Selecting the folder “D:\AAA\DDD…” and editing this folder (and it’s containing media files) would edit the following files: Movie1, Movie2, Movie3, MovieA, MovieB and Movie.
Movies in “D:\AAA\EEE…” would be unaffected.
