More Subtitles Preferences (Embedded & External + "Normal" & Forced)

Hello everyone !

So I don’t know if that is a niche case or not, but I would love to have more settings preference to watch my content with subtitles.

In most of cases my medias have good embedded subtiles, but in some case, they don’t. I have every subtitles download for them (Both “normal”, like full language subtitles and Forced one) and I would like to :

  • Have the option to tell Plex to always select the embedded or the external subtitle as default

  • Have the option to tell Plex to always select the “normal” or Forced subtitle as default

I know that for the second thing, kind of works, but English is my second language, and almost every content I have is in 2 languages (French and English). Since Plex doesn’t allow to select the “Original Language” (Might be another feature request). I set my preferred audio language to English, and subtitle language also to English, it will select the forced one, which is not what I want.

Then you set the “auto-select subtitle mode” to “always”.

The current behaviour is to prefer the external subtitle, if present.
If your embedded subtitle is perfect, there is no need to have an external one. Simply remove it.
