One of the features that I use most often in video players is the mouse wheel skip, which allows me to fast forward or rewind the video with the mouse wheel by 1-5 seconds per mouse wheel movement, instead of the 30-second skip that I get by pressing the skip button. This is useful when the series or movie is boring or when I am looking for something in the video. This feature is available in all the players that I have ever used, except for Plex. That is why I still use other players, even though Plex is the most convenient one to remember where I left off in movies and series. This, and the automatic switch to HDR in Windows, are the last things that make me choose other apps sometimes. Please add this feature so that I can finally stop using other players.
There’s been a rather ancient suggestion discussing a similar option to use horizontal scrolling to fast-forward or fast-backward through the playing video. Not so much a duplicate… just for reference.
