is it possible to make a short cut that would take you to a show or movie on the plex app?
so if i clicked on a link it would open the app right to that specific thing.
If you are already sharing the library with that user, yes. Simply go to the preplay page of the item, using the hosted web app . Then copy the full contents of the browser address bar.
If the user currently has no Plex account, or isn’t already in the list of your shared users with access to that library – then not.
But will open it in a web browser not the plex app.
There is no universal “URL schema” für opening “Plex links”. The web app is the only working option.
