Movie / tv show in folder but not in library

any 1 know what is this probllem ?

tv show- fear of walking death 5 season and 10 seasons of the walking dead dispalay in plex liberary as 1-10 seasons of fear of walking dead…and walking dead is not show in libeary at all…till is changed to show in folders. Same story with movie Kill Bill vol.1 and vol.2 ----- both shows in library as kill bill vol1 . none vol2…and it is in folder view…

..all movies and tv shows named with filebot with plex norms.

Did you fix those file names after initially adding them to Plex?

According to IMDb / The Movie Database, Kill Bill should be named as Kill Bill (2003) and Kill Bill 2 (2004) for matching to Polish. From Plex’ perspective, “Kill Bill - Vol. 1 (2003)” and “Kill Bill - Vol. 2 (2004)” are quite similarly far away from those names – that could explain the mis-match.

and update librararie /fix still no kill bill 2 …kill bill with wrong date.

in folder view i have got both movies with proper names.

Don’t forget to do a Plex Dance after renaming a movie that had already been matched (incorrectly)

Thank you for fast replay. Have done everythink what you said , but still it didnt hepl. its like this same movie in 2 plex folders ., and only 1 in liberary …on my drive i have vol 1 and 2 …Will try download new movie files. maby fresh files will fix problem.

And what about tv series - fear of walking dead and walking dead …it seems to be same problem.

You will need to rename both Kill Bills. Plex has merged both files together as shown in the thumbnail.

Un-merge the videos, rename the sort title field, then update metadata, and it should fix your issue.

For example, I had Friday the 13th, Part 1 through to Part 6 and Plex merged them all into 1. I had to rename the sort title as: Friday the 13th 1, 2, 3, etc.

so i did what you said + plex dance …again this same

plex folder view

and plex liberary view

in both - folders ( part 1 and part2 )and libereary i have kill bill 2 only…

choose Split Apart from the options menu on the Kill bill that shows then when it is split into two separate listings do a fix match on the one that needs it.

Rename the files (in explorer) as Kill Bill Vol 1 and Kill Bill Vol 2. You can keep the years in brackets if you wish.

In Plex, if split apart does not work, delete the Kill Bill from Plex - it should move both files to recycle bin.

Then, move the files 1 at a time back into the Plex folder they were in.

After the first Kill Bill is in Plex, complete the metadata/addition process, then select edit on it.

Rename Title to Kill Bill, Vol 1 and rename Sort Title to Kill Bill 1.

Do the same for the second file (except Vol 2, etc).

If that doesn’t work, find the mkv - Kill Bill, The Whole Bloody Affair - it’s both movies in 1 file.

Great bro it works…well its not perfect - i have got 2 movies ( vol 1 and 2) now, but if only trying to fix metadata its going back to 1 movie …and part 1 and 2 got this same meta atm …i can change them manualy only …so movie description is same for both movies…but I can live with it until I have 2 separate films.

just do a fix match on whatever one needs it. look at the file path at top of window to make sure it si the right one then select Kill Bill 2. and it will fill in the metadata for you

If both files have the same metadata, you can select edit on the file, then info (to see if the move is vol 1 or vol 2).

Then close that, then select Fix Match… on the movie. You can manually select which movie you want the metadata to change to.

Yes i know what u mind, but like i said before after split > when I try to fix mach 2 movies merging into 1 again…i just will leave it as its now …its fine atm.

So good news. Dumping fear of walking dead > plex dance> fix mach of The walking dead + block all info( padlock icon) >adding fear of walking dead > fix mach > job done
