I do have several options. I can just watch the DVDs on the Plex Classic device and Blu rays on the Ultra (Blu rays don’t show this problem). I could recode all my DVDs (all 60 of them moan) through Handbrake but life is definitely too short!! One thing I cannot do is use the TV’s zoom feature to resize the image. Plex or makeMKV must add the black sidebars since the width of the image does NOT change when trying to zoom. This is a problem everyone who has suffered from letterboxing has reported.
