This is driving me absolutly nuts.. I have a DVD, any DVD that I have ripped using MakeMKV, and also Handbrake. When viewed using the PC Version, or either the PS4 or PS3 version of the movie, I get a 2in. black border on all sides of the movie, it's as if Plex will not display movies using the full width of the TV (a 55" Visio). If I view it using Cyberlink, VLC or windows media player the movie looks fine.. I cannot handle this, it's driving me batty.. I do not know what to do.. Please help.. I have poored through all settings on the server, and can't find anything that would adjust this..
I don't care about the borders on top and bottom, but it's the ones on the left and right that drive me crazy. The original video for example is 720x480 Aspect Ration 1.78
Please Please Please.. Anybody have any suggestions..
I have the EXACT same thing - and have given up trying to resolve this with Plex. There was a thread from the very start of the year where people advised me to change (remux) all the videos to a different ratio.,... this did not really help. I find it strange that most every other media player (on Windows PC, on android, even the default PS3 DLNA player) has a button or control to change the zoom/aspect ratio which always works to remove the borders.... yet there is nothing on plex.
I am using PLEX where I must, and waiting for a beetter solution to come along... DLNA on PS4 with zoom/aspect button, or a PLEX alternative.
