Moving Plex Servers & trying to retain poster art

Hi, I’m trying to migrate a Plex Server hosted on a third-party linux server and have it self hosted. I have two custom libraries that previously retrieved poster art from an API that’s no longer available. So, I’d like to migrate the poster art as well. However, I can’t seem to find where they’re located.

So, I was curious if there was a way to “migrate” the metadata / video artwork so that it was like itg was local media. Basically, move the artwork to be in the same folder and folllow the naming pattern recommended by Plex.

If that’s not possible, any suggestions / ideas would be great!

You will want to archive and download the plex data folder structure.

A word of warning, the data folders can have thousands of sub folders and files, it can take a very long time to archive, and later extract.
