Moving watched status from old to new server

I moved from one server to another and I copied the Plex info on how to move watched status. However something is wrong as I added the settings.sql to the home folder on the new server.
then I did this

ilove@tangelo ~ $ cat settings.sql | sqlite3 com.plexapp.plugins.library.db 
ilove@tangelo ~ $

I do not get any errors so I assumed it moved it over. however when I restart Plex nothing is there still meaning no watched series or movies. Its just like it was. I am not sure what to do at this point.

Where did you get that information from? Why don’t you restore the whole db that is stored at /var/lib/plexmediaserver/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Plug-in Support/Databases/com.plexapp.plugins.library.db?

its on the Plex website plex support
Also I did copy the library.db and I still dont have watched info. I also copied the metadata folder thinking that would speed up my new scan but did nothing.
