Move Plex installation from Synology to Windows server - Missing watched state

Hello
Until now i have ran my Plex Server from my Synology. However now i have got a Windows server, therefore i want to run Plex on this machine.
All of my content is stored on my NAS.

I have installed Plex on my Windows server, and setup the same libraries as before, but now pointing to the NAS. After this i have turned off both my Plex servers, and copied the ‘com.plexapp.plugins.library.db’ from my Sonology, and replaced it with the one on my Windows Server.

After this i still haven’t got my watched state from before? :frowning:

I have tired to follow this guide: support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/201154527-Move-Viewstate-Ratings-from-One-Install-to-Another
However when i do it, i just get a file contained the below:
PRAGMA foreign_keys=OFF;
BEGIN TRANSACTION;
COMMIT;
~
~
~

Can anyone tell me what i’m doing wrong? I have 5 other users who also use my Plex, therefore i also wants their watched state.

Hi vestbbjerg,

Coincidentally I am moving my Plex windows server over to my Synology NAS (as in the opposite of what you are trying). If I read your post correctly, you started out with copying the ‘com.plexapp.plugins.library.db’ file from the newly installed Windows server to your old Synology installation correct? This seems to be the problem, because that would erase any configuration from your NAS as well I think.

If you then tried the guide you pointed to, it seems logical that only an empty file is generated because there is no view state in the db you just copied from your fresh windows installation.

If you created a back-up of the ‘com.plexapp.plugins.library.db’ on the NAS before overwriting it with the one from the windows server you should put it back and try the guide again.
