I want RasPLEX so send 5.1 PCM audio instead of passing through the Dolby Digital signal.

 

I can't find a setting to send Multi-Channel PCM audio through HDMI. It always downmixes to 2.0 when I have DD and DTS disabled. Is there an advanced setting I can edit if I log on using SSH or something?

This has been covered in a number of different posts in this forum, please search the forum before posting.

In short, there is no setting, multi channel PCM (typically AAC5.1) always get mixed down to stereo whether you have DTS/DD checked or not.

Yes i saw some old posts. Since it's working in XBMC I figured it might have been fixed in RasPLEX as well by now.

This may be fixed when Plex HT is merged with Gotham (Rasplex is based on Plex HT), but this is many months away.

Has this been fixed in the latest 0.5/0.5.1 version?  I gave my Rasplex to a friend and he's seeing the same issue (FLAC 5.1/7.1 is downmixed to LPCM 2.0 when sent to his receiver).

Should be fixed in next release.
