MULTIPLE PLAY VERSIONS, 3D/4:3/16:9/Directors Cut/Extended

Can you add the ability to visually distinguish between two same named movie files. I have a movie that is 1080 and the same movie in 3D. I would like to keep both files in same folder and have plex allow me to see the there are two versions of the same movie and select the version i would like to play. (1-2) Currently the “more button/play version” basically hides the fact you have an alternate format or version and does not allow for easy distinction between movie files. (3) I have used the file folder naming structure to rename by 3D movie as “movie (year) -other” so it shows on the movie home page, but near the bottom and without a movie poster or artwork to keep with the aesthetics. (4) A visual option to click near main movie would be user friendly and aesthetically pleasing. This would be ideal for older movies in 4:3 format and 3D, directors cuts, extended movies.

There’s an existing (and very popular) feature suggestion that’s already addressing what you’re describing. I suggest you comment/vote in that thread instead (e.g. in order to avoid distracting/dispersing votes and attention).

Therefore I’ll close this thread as a duplicate.
