I just noticed that there’s support for multiple pre-roll videos, but I can’t get it to work.
From the Extras section:
“Enter the full path to the pre-roll video file. If multiple paths separated by commas are entered, videos will be played sequentially. If multiple paths separated by semi-colons are used, a single pre-roll video will be chosen randomly from the list.”
No matter if I use a comma or a semi-colon it only ever plays the last one in the list. Just trying this with 2 videos right now.
Am I missing another step?
You must not insert a space character before or after the commas or semicolons.
Maybe copy and paste your current content of this input field in here?

I assume that these videos still have to be in a library accessible to any user who is going to play them in Plex server right? We can’t have them sitting in a hidden library or directly from a path on the disk?

You can now do just that.
So I glazed over the “full path” part in the description. I assumed I just needed to add the http link like we had to do previously for a single video. Once I realized my mistake, I added the file paths to the pre-rolls and it all works. I have 5 pre-rolls added now, and was able to get rid of the library that I had setup.
The two techniques can’t apparently be combined (e.g. a random selection from multiple lists of pre-rolls). That would be a nice and simple programming enhancement.
It would be also nice if the ability to select an intermission roll could be added, so if for example movies are on random play, in-between movies the intermission roll would play.

I was about to ask exactly that. Can you separate lists of comma separated pre-rolls with semi colons so you can randomly select which list of pre-rolls to play. If not, why not?
