Multiple problems with the WebOS screensaver

Is there any chance someone could fix the screensaver on webos?

  • When it kicks in, it picks a tiny selection of photos (about 5?) and then rotates only through those. Why not use the entire photo collection? If I’ve got 1000s of possible photos to use then it’s strange to watch the same few ones coming up over and over again.

  • Occasionally you’ll get a black screen instead of a photo.

  • The filename displayed doesn’t actually match the photo being displayed. If you get the aforementioned black screen, then you’ll still get an (incorrect) filename displayed.

  • The filename is completely useless information most of the time anyway so why not show the date (and ideally location) of the photo instead? Showing “Cambridge, 5 Jan 2019” (or even just “5 Jan 2019”) is a lot more useful than “IMG_14759”.
