I add a few TV shows and they generally are fine. Once I’ve fixed a couple, example Krypton, I add in some more. Now every TV show I add goes into the 1st show in the library, in this case The A-Team. It shows multiple versions of episodes in the seasons, and these are episodes from various other shows that have been imported. There is no way I can find to edit the individual episode into the correct series.
When I view the details it lists each shows’ folder, season and episode so the server is seeing the correct file structure and naming conventions but just adding everything into 1 show.
If I delete the A-team then the remaining shows jump to the next show in the library and so forth.
How can I split the shows into the correct ones instead of each episode showing in amongst multiple other episodes in 1 TV show. I can do it with movies with the same title etc. but just can’t find out how to do it on TV shows
So, adding an entire show folder causes the issue. Adding the show season by season and there is no issue. No idea what the issue is with Plex but for some reason it seems to take the parent directory of TV Shows rather than the show directory itself when adding in shows by folder rather than by season.
Bit more time consuming having to add each season of each show but it saves them all getting jumbled together
Further to the last update. Plex now keeps deleting all the folders added to the TV Shows section resulting in having to constantly re-add them back in. Time to find a proper media server as Plex seems incapable of handling multiple TV shows.

When adding media to your library, you should only associate the top-level folder – neither individual shows nor seasons. Example: TV Shows ← this is the folder linked to your library .. The A-Team ← the folder representing the show (alternatively: The A-Team (1983)) .. .. Season 01 .. .. .. The A-Team - s01e01.ext .. .. .. The A-Team - s01e02.ext .. .. .. ... .. .. Season 02 .. .. .. The A-Team - s02e01.ext .. .. .. The A-Team - s02e02.ext .. .. .. ... .. Krypton ← the folder representing the show (optionally Krypton (2018)) .. .. Season 01 .. .. .. Krypton - s01e01 - Pilot.ext .. .. .. Krypton - s01e02 - House of El.ext .. .. .. Krypton - s01e03.ext .. .. .. ...
If your files are mp4 files, make sure there’s no embedded title or you have local media assets ranked at a low position in the agent settings. Otherwise Plex will use the embedded title to match the show.
