I don’t typically add much to forums, but I’m stumped. I need help.
Movies and music work fine. TV shows are all populating in the GUI as one show. If I navigate to any particular episode and view “Get Info” under the “more” dropdown, that episode shows multiple files as the single episode. These files are named and indexed properly.
I uploaded some screenshots of what I’m seeing. Is there a fix?
I did the “dance.”
I’ve deleted the TV Shows folder in the GUI and retried.
Plex is reading from the drive and I can watch the (Plex chosen default) episodes.
My upload didn’t seem to work. Below are the addresses to the files and naming convention.
/media/TV Shows/Planet Earth II/Season 01/Planet Earth II - S01E01.mkv
/media/TV Shows/Hannibal/Season 01/Hannibal - S01E01 - Apéritif.mkv
/media/TV Shows/Avatar - The Last Airbender/Season 01 - Water/Avatar-The Last Airbender - s01e01 -The Boy in the Iceberg.mkv
All three of these show as one show Season 1 Episode 1. Should I be pointing the the “Add Folders” to /TV Shows rather than the parent folder /media?
On a side note, I’m using FreeNAS, but I feel the server itself is not the issue. Plex is accessing the files. Is it possible that the address from the server dataset is messing with how Plex is organizing the files?
Also, Avatar was the first show I set up in Plex and it worked fine at one time. I then tried setting up Hannibal and it didn’t show up under TV shows. I tried watching an episode of Avatar later and an Episode of Hannibal began to play.
Thanks!
Edit:
SOLVED
I needed to point to /media/TV Shows. All is good now
