So I saw one question on one of the forums earlier about having a custom filter by the filter bar, but that was maybe a year ago the question was asked and no recent answer updates. Using Plex as a vintage digital archive would be fantastic for us because there’s only a few of us that need to access these photos and we have them all stored on our server. We are able to search for them by tags via Plex (thank god), but find I have issues using multiple tags for searching. So “floral” in the search brings up all the items I’ve tagged as “floral”, however when I go into more than one tag such as “floral dress” or “floral, dress” – it doesn’t bring up the tagged items under floral and dress. Help?
Where they mentioned the filter bar drop down is supposed to be in this area, but then I don’t see like “custom filter”:
The problem I’m having is it’s forced to AND mode. Please add the ability to search by OR filters. It’s crazy that I can’t combine two different genres/tags into one search results page without adding them to a collection or playlist.
Edit: OMG, I just figured it out after reading other complaints. Apparently you can manually type “or” into the filter box, instead of adding another filter line. Sorry OP that you’re not seeing the filter bar for photos. That seems to be another problem.
Can this work using the iPhone App or via the Roku App? I see an option for ‘filter’ in the iPhone app but it’s grayed out. I don’t see a filter option via the Roku App…
