Example: Checking Tag “Max” and “John” with a new Boolean rule AND would only return photos that had a tag “Max” along with the tag “John” also. Instead of currently returning all pics having either Max or John as though a Boolean rule “OR” was set.
The work around is not practical (creating tags “Max”, “John”, & MaxJohn”). I saw this was a topic over a year ago for filtering movie searches but I never saw a Plex feedback. It really would serve a basic need that we have all understood since Jack AND Jill went up the hill.
The more invested in a media collection the more reliant on the tools to let you reap the benefits.
Yes - that is a big help. Didn’t find that capability on my own. Thank you! Since I had allot of time invested in directory structure I usually am in Album view editing images and creating tags. I see now that view doesn’t have the same filtering/playlist options.
Now how do I get this functionality in the mobile app?
There’s an existing feature suggestion asking to add an option to create custom filters in other clients – though this has seen very little interest from the community over the years it’s been around. I suggest you could vote for that.
Alternatively you can save your filter as a smart playlist or collection which will also be available/accessible on your mobile app (though you cannot edit the filters of the smart playlist/collection on the mobile app).
