Music albums missing from Plex

Hi

This is my first time posting and I’m fairly new to Plex.

I have linked my Synology NAS drive (Disk Station 218) and I can access my music through the Plex app on the web and on my phone.

However, whilst the majority of music and albums are available I have started to notice that some albums are missing. I have checked the NAS drive and they are there but Plex isn’t picking them up.

Also, I have started using using the casting to my amplifier and sometimes I have noticed drop outs whilst using Plex but I don’t when casting via spotify/radioplayer etc.

Appreciate any help!

Have you configured Plex to pull the metadata (like artists, album names, titles) from your files or did you leave those settings be?

Thanks for the response.

I left the settings as default when importing the music and all of my music is stored the same way i.e. Artist>Album>Track No - Track Name

Although I haven’t performed a full reconciliation, I am pretty sure all of the artists have been imported but I have started to notice that some of the albums definitely haven’t.

Any ideas?

Thanks Trumpy,

The settings for Plex within Diskstation were set to R/W but when I performed a full re-scan the missing albums are now visible.
