I’ve added all of my music in my music folder library in this format:
Drive\music\Artist\Album\tracks
All mp3 are properly tag with Musicbrainz
But in Plex, all songs appear in the same album
in order to fix this problem, I have to take them all out from the artist folder, scan library, then add 1 album at the time and refresh in between each import.
I’ve tried unmatching and rematching and that didn’t work… Any idea?

How so? I don’t get it? If I add the folders one by one, the exact same folders, it displays properly.
Please point it out because I don’t see it, sorry.

You don’t need the year in the album folder name.
But if the tags are accurate and Plex is correctly configured to prefer local metadata, that shouldn’t be much of a problem.
Have a look at the How-To article linked above. Pay close attention to the “Necessary Tags” section.

It still seems to be happening… I will try to rename my structure without the release year in it.
Just try a couple of albums first to see if it works.

I was confused by this artist’s moniker.
Which folder did you add to your music library?
Is it M:\music or just M: or even M:\music\LP?
Only the first is the correct one.
If you have the correct path added:
Is this the only artist which is affected by this issue?
If that is the case, here is a crazy idea: give the artist a different name and avoid the common abbreviation “LP”.
Just as a test, to confirm that Plex doesn’t do anything special if it encounters the letter combination LP.

I am redoing my whole structure to see if it’ll change anything.
We’ll, the end result is the same. But not all the time. Even though I ask it to get information locally, I still get track in other albums… I guess i’ll have to check them manually.

I finally ended up stating over fresh adding one album at the time.
