I just set up a plex premium music library and I do not understand what is happening. Before I had more traditional photos of the artists.
Now i seem to get weird informal photos of the artists. I am sure it is a setting but how do i get the normal more well known photos of the artists?

Artist images are supplied by the various online databases used by Plex, and as such you cannot change what they supply.However, you can add your own. Go to your music library and select to view by artist. Then move your mouse over an artists poster and click on the pencil icon that appears. Then on the left of the dialogue that opens, select posters on the left.
Now you are able to upload your own poster or link to a poster using a URL or you may select from any of the posters already gathered in Plex.
I prefer to store my custom Artist images locally, that way if I have to rebuild my Plex libraries, I have the posters at hand to re-add to PMS.
Thanks–this makes sense. How do I store my own artwork and images locally? right now my plex server has been chugging away for 4 days building data on all my photos, music and movies. anything to make it go quicker next time…
