I have encountered a weird bug today. One of my most played albums has been released in several versions over the years. I used to have the original, single-CD version on my Plex server, and played it very often.
Today I ripped a “deluxe” version with 3 additional discs, including the 3rd one which are the “instrumental” of each original track from Disc 1. When I added it to my server, Plex matched it to the right release and everything played fine. However, the play count, ratings and history have been transferred from Disc 1 to Disc 3 (for some tracks only…).
It’s not a major issue as everything plays correctly, but I just can"t understand the logic of Plex here. And it’s a bit annoying to see the new tracks having 30+ play counts while the old ones have zero. Tried to delete, scan, add again, scan again a few times but no change.
Any idea or similar experience ?
