Music Playlist entries are added to dashboard "metadata_item_views" table

I’m not sure if this is a issue or not but looks to me to be some background task is not cleaning up these overtime. Also, unsure what is causing plex to create these. Will let plex development decide if they need to do anything about these …

EDIT: This happens for ALL playlist. When a playlist is played a entry for it is added to the dashboard table. Makes no sense to me for this to be added and looks like a bug. Mine has grown to over 50 zombie playlist entries.

This continues to grow on my server with almost 30 duplicates now created.

However, I may have found how these are created. I suspect its Plexamp so going to add that tag to thread. Do the following:

1. using plexamp on android, select the Recently Played playlist from the home screen
2. then select shuffle to play the playlist
3. play a couple of tracks, say 3-5

Check the db after the writes have been commited to the db and you will see a new duplicate playlist com.plexapp.agents.none added to the metadata_item_views table.

I’ve not tested (yet) if its safe to delete the old ones. I might try that in the coming days if no one from plex comments on the thread …
