I have a few multi-disc music collections (such as box sets) where the discs have their own names. E.g., one may be a remastered version of an album, while another is a concert. In such cases, it’s not sufficient to look at the track names to disambiguate. I’m using beets to organize my music and it fills in the disctitle tag on such tracks. It would be really helpful for me if Plex would display the disctitle value if available instead of “Disc 1”, “Disc 2”, and so on.
There’s an existing request for this.
