My plex media server was pretty good for some time but since some time ago every time i start playing music, it plays a few songs then stops - sometimes 1 song, sometimes 3 songs… then stops (consistently) so i have to manually browse to next song and hit play - very annoying - it made me stop using it and used to love it - not sure how to fix this - i have latest version of plex for windows
I did try to Scan All Metadata and Scan Library Files but it made no difference
My layout is like this:
Windows 7 Pro computer with Plex Media Server installed
NAS (network attached storage) with music files - 4TB of studio recording quality music
Plex sees/plays the music files off the NAS
Samsung Smart TV with Plex installed (which sees the Plex Media Server)
Marantz amplifier with 5 high quality speakers - connected to network and TV
(ALL these devices above are WIRED and connected with Cat5e cables in a Gigabit local area network, no wifi at all)
I open Plex on Samsung TV and hit play on a playlist from Plex, works.
This setup worked great for a few years. Nothing changed and still working but from some time ago it got into this issue where it now plays 1-2 songs then stops, although the playlist has 100 songs for example. Wondering what could be the issue.
