Hello All

I have quite a few music files that I ripped in my very early days (20+ years ago) that don’t have any tags and the file names are simply track01 etc. The only way I know what they could be is the folder name (artist/album).

Are there tools that can automatically change/update file names and add tags based on this limited information so that plex can correctly identify them. To do this manually would take an unreasonable amount of time.

MP3tag (free) is a very popular app for renaming and ID3 tags:

I use MusicBrainz Picard for all my music before I put it on my Plex Server. Help a lot with my older .ogg files I had ripped from my CD collection (before selling most at a yard sale) for a music player I had years ago. Very helpful when needing to look up by Album/Distribution Company and Artwork.
