has anyone gotten a windows 10 box to work with multiple tuners, I have a 2250 and the xbox one tuner card, WinTV is up to date, both win 10 drivers are installed, wintv8 see both devices but only gets active channels from one (2250 card), I also tried nextpvr and it would work with the 2250 but wou give “device failed to start” on the 955q xbox one tuner. plex sees this usb tuner and of course not the 2250 as it is not yet supported but also scans 0 channels, none of them even turn the second “activity” light on when trying to do so on the usb tuner.
this is an underlying windows 10 issue and I think plex would function ok if I could resolve the dual tuner device issue, of course the 2250 has two internal tuners and they both work, along with radio and av inputs, but somewhere in the mix of having a completely separate tuner not a single application will work with the second one (yes device manager finds it just find and there are no drivers awaiting install)
aside from plex, has anyone gotten a rig working with multiple tuner separate devices and the WinTV app, or any other for that matter? some trick to it? ive tried upgrading to the latest WinTV app, erasing database etc, this seems to be a driver issue regarding both devices, and somewhere along the lines it doesn’t like having multiple ones to choose from even though the WinTV app is setup showing both devices as available, it can never function off of anything besides the 2250’s 2 tuners.
the usb tuner works fine and installed on my old machine is recognized in WinTV and plex just fine, I am unwilling to part with the 2250, but I would like to add the 2nd device for plex use, or a 3rd available WinTV stream, this would prevent me from having to change plex servers for recorded programs and to be able to take advantage of the massive amounts of space and power the main rig has.
even down the line when the 2250 is supported, I would still like to do this to have a 3rd tuner, or just dedicate the xbox one tuner to plex alone as it seems to pick up one more channel that I need and I have no use for live tv, I simply want to record 3 shows off OTA broadcast.
